Peguche Falls is a very well known park not too far from Quito. It is visited frequently by tourists from local areas and from far away. We heard German, Spanish, English, and stuff I didn't recognize.
We could walk right up to the falls and so we got wet at the bottom from all the spray. The paths were really steep and slippery and you'd never see trails like these in any U.S. parks. Too dangerous. Sara took all these photos.
This is a reproduction of the roads the Incas used to connect all their cities and towns. The workmanship is quite skillful and the road drains water perfectly.
Really cool suspension bridge.
This group of pictures was taken in and around a cave that an enterprising indian man had turned into a quasi Inca ceremonial place. for $2 he took us in and gave us an "inca" healing ceremoney. It was fun, but the smoke about suffocated us.
It's about 200 feet from top to bottom. There are lots of "peligroso" (danger) signs.
