This was a silent hang after restarting make -j2 -DNO_CLEAN buildworld. The
previous buildworld has reached "building everything", stopping with "out of
swap". 

After restart an instance of ld seems to have entered state pfault, after
which the system became progressively less responsive. The debugger didn't
work, so the plug was pulled.
