In this directory are video clips of the second Ampinvt inverter purchased. The clip shows the inverter stuck in charging mode. The charge LED flashes, but the voltmeter shows no increase in voltage even though the current is set to 100%. In fact, over a long period (many tens of minutes) the voltage on the battery declines further. Over time (hours) charging begins and the battery is charged back to setpoint. The cycle then repeats. The no-load power consumption is considerably higher than expected. In both AC priority mode and ECO mode it's between 11 and 12 watts. I was told to expect about 6 watts in AC priority mode, which is observed with 1st inverter. Perhaps that's a clue to what is going on. After two days unloaded with AC line power on and the charge voltage set to 14.6 volts the power consumption from the wall remained 11.6 watts, whether the BATT LED was flashing or not. Reducing the charge voltage to 14.3 caused the power consumption to drop to 6.5 watts, as seen with 1st_inverter. However, within a couple of minutes, the actual battery voltage dropped to 14.15 volts, the charge LED began flashing and the AC line power draw dropped to 1.4 watts.
