Naturally, what breaks on the left also breaks on the right, and was repaired in the same way. Removing the subframe for welding turned into a considerable job. The manual calls for removal of the gas tank, which isn't strictly necessary (raising the back edge a few inches suffices) but in hindsight it probably would have been easier had the tank been empty.
